- Heel pain in both feet together, especially with morning stiffness, swelling, or pain in other joints — this can be a sign of an inflammatory or systemic condition (such as rheumatoid arthritis) and is worth investigating.
- A hot, red, swollen heel with fever or feeling generally unwell (possible infection)
