Welcome to The Smart Runner’s System
You’ve just taken the step most runners skip. From here, you run smarter, recover better, and stay on the road for the long haul.
Your complete evidence-based toolkit

Your 12-week strength programme in the PT Distinction app
Three progressive phases. Designed specifically for runners, built to make you more durable — not more tired.
Stability Base
Establish the foundation. Movement quality, core control, and the capacity groundwork every later phase builds on.
Strength Build
Build the tissue capacity that protects your knees, shins, and Achilles. Heavier loading, clean technique, real progression.
Elastic Strength & Power
Translate strength into running performance. Fast, sharp, and specific to the demands of the road.
Your app access is activating
Within the next 5 minutes, PT Distinction will email you your login details and the link to download the app (iOS and Android). When you log in, you’ll see your first Phase 1 workout already on your calendar — ready when you are.
Read the How to Use guide first.
It takes five minutes. It tells you exactly how to place the strength sessions around your running, when to rotate the three workouts, and how to adjust when recovery is off. Five minutes of reading saves weeks of guesswork.
Didn’t receive the PT Distinction email?
Give it 30 minutes and check your spam folder. Still nothing? Reply to my welcome email and I’ll sort it out personally — no forms, no tickets, just a reply.
The physiotherapist behind the system
I’m Daniel — a physiotherapist who built The Smart Runner’s System because I was tired of seeing good runners sidelined by preventable injuries and outdated advice.
Everything in this system comes from the same evidence base I use in clinical practice every day: load management, progressive overload, recovery science, and strength work that actually translates to running. No fluff, no gimmicks — just the things that work.
If you ever get stuck, reply to any of my emails. A real physio will answer — usually me.
